I have had a few different folks send me messages asking about being at MC throughout the day. Unfortunately, I don’t know what the actual schedule of MC will be on Wednesday, as I will only be there for the day and will not stay the night. I will get information and will update the thread ASAP after I find out! For now, I will be free to send updates to the forum at any time.Ruth Popp
Ruth Popp (22 May 1911 – 16 September 2000) was a South African tennis player of German descent.

Her father, a banker, moved the family to South Africa in 1931, where she trained at the Koroivanska Institute of Physical Culture in Johannesburg. She won two South African Championships in 1931 and 1933. The winners of women’s doubles at the South African Championships are crowned with the title “Ruth Popp Cup”.

In July, 1937, at the mixed-doubles tournament in Budapest, she lost in the second round to Pierre Barthes in three sets after winning the first.
In December, 1937, Popp married Denis O’Neill and the following year gave birth to daughter Cathy.
In 1954, Popp returned to the United States where she worked as a salesman. She died in New York City in 2000.
